Toilets are one of the primary products of Toto Ltd., which was first established in Japan in 1917. At the time it was Japan’s premier producer of sanitary ware made of vitreous china. From 1920 to 1989, Toto Ltd. put up manufacturing plants and started production of quality bath fixtures in all parts of the world such as Tokyo, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan.

In 1990, a sales subsidiary, Toto Kiki USA, Inc, was established, at which time Toto introduced the 1.6 gallons per flush Toto toilets. In 1991, the Toto industries Lakewood subsidiary was established in Georgia; and in 1996, the headquarters of Toto USA Inc. was finally relocated to Atlanta, Georgia; where they remain today.

1997 saw the launch of a new one piece Toto toilet for residential use, and two products of Toto were awarded the ‘Best Buy’ award by Consumer’s Digest. Toto Ltd. continued to innovate, and 1998 saw the development of the G-Max and the UniFit Rough-in Technology. The third office of Toto ltd. was opened in New York City and Toto became the largest manufacturer of toilets in the whole world.

Toto Toilet Product Lines

• Bristol: This line of toilets is a classic low profile toilet in a one piece design. These have an elongated front and require a 12 inch rough-in. They feature the Power Gravity system of Toto, which guarantees a powerful and quiet flush every time.
• Carlyle: Streamlined one piece toilets with a high profile design. They have a skirted styling with hidden trapway for ease of cleaning. The Carlyle features the G-Max flushing system, and SanaGloss Technology, which is a super smooth, ion barrier glazing that cleans the toilet bowl every time it is flushed.
• Carolina: A one piece design from Toto. These are low profile toilets with an elongated front, and feature the Power Gravity flushing system.
• Carrollton: A line of two piece toilets with a high profile design, featuring the G-Max flushing system.
• Carusoe: The award winning line of Toto toilets. This is a two piece toilet in a streamlined, close coupled design with a 1.6 gallon tank. Available in white, basic, and premium colors.
• Clayton: The standard two piece Toto toilets with a traditional design, having the G-Max flush system.
• Dalton: A two piece toilet in a round high profile design. It features the Gravity jet flushing system.
• Drake: A two piece toilet with a modern high profile design, featuring the G-Max system. They are also available in ADA compliant models.
• Lloyd: These Toto toilets are a one piece style with a unique sculpted design. These toilets feature the G-Max flush system.
• Neorest: A line of tankless toilets. They are one piece toilets with an integrated washlet seat. featuring the new Cyclone flushing system whereby you need not wait for the tank to refill or deal with refill noise.
• Pacifica: A low profile toilet with the Power Gravity flush system. Available in a one piece and two piece design.
• Promenade: These Toto toilets are two piece toilets with a high profile, round front design.
• Supreme: A line of elegant one piece, low profile toilets which feature the Power Gravity flush system.
• Ultimate: This line of toilets features toilets in a high profile, one piece design with a round front. They come with a SoftClose seat and can be upgraded to a Washlet seat.
• Ultramax: A line of sleek, high profile, one piece toilets. They  feature the G-max flush system and are available in white, Toto basic, and Toto premium colors.
• Vespin: A line of two piece, close coupled toilets with a contemporary design.
